Here’s what my clients are always asking! If you have any questions feel free to message me on instagram to send me an email using the contact form and I’ll get back to you in 24 hours!

What is the booking process?

Booking a session with Tiny Blossoms is a simple, guided process designed to ensure your experience is personalized and stress-free:

  1. Inquiry: Reach out via the website contact form or Instagram to let me know which type of session you’re interested in and your preferred dates.
  2. Intro Call / Consultation: We’ll schedule a short conversation to discuss your vision, preferences, and any questions.
  3. Quote & Scope of Work: I’ll provide a customized quote and outline exactly what your session includes, tailored to your family’s needs.
  4. Retainer and paperwork: A $290 retainer and a signed contract are required to secure your date.

Once booked, we’ll start planning your studio session — from setups to outfits — so your experience is seamless and enjoyable.

When should I book my session?

  • Maternity: Book as soon as you’re in your second trimester. The best time to photograph is 28–34 weeks, when your belly is beautifully round and you’re still comfortable.
  • Newborn: Book as early as possible during pregnancy to reserve your spot. Ideal photography window is 6–16 days after birth for perfectly posed newborn portraits.
  • Cake Smash / Milestone: Book 1–2 months in advance. The best time to photograph is around 11 months, so images are ready in time for your baby’s first birthday.

Booking early ensures your preferred dates and session types are available, and gives us time to fully plan your personalized studio experience.

What should we wear?

For studio sessions, choose outfits that reflect your style and feel comfortable. Neutral or soft tones work beautifully, and coordinating but not matching outfits are best for family portraits. Avoid busy prints or logos.

I’ll guide you during planning to select outfits that complement the studio setups and props, ensuring every image looks natural, cohesive, and timeless.

What exactly is a "setup" in my newborn session?

setup is a complete composition designed to highlight your baby in a beautiful, timeless way. It typically includes:

  • A background: This could be a soft fabric, textured backdrop, or natural scenery such as florals or greenery.
  • A prop: We’ll use a variety of props like baskets, bowls, swings, or floral wreaths to create a cozy and artistic environment.
  • Personal touches: To give each setup variety, I add accessories like headbandssoft blanketstoys, and floral elements. Each setup can look different by changing out these accessories, and sometimes I’ll make adjustments to create additional variety in the same setup.

How do I prepare for a studio session?

Space & comfort: The studio is fully prepared and sanitized for your baby’s comfort and safety.

Outfits & personal touches: Bring neutral or soft-toned clothing for yourself and your family.

Baby prep: A fed, slightly tired baby usually results in calm, peaceful portraits. Sessions are flexible — your baby sets the pace, and I never force poses. Please bring a bottle of milk and a pacifier.

During the session: All props, wraps, and surfaces are sanitized. The studio is warm and welcoming, and hygiene is a top priority.

How much does a session cost?

Studio sessions at Tiny Blossoms are a fully personalized experience, so your final investment varies depending on your gallery selections and the artwork you choose.

The minimum investment is $890, which includes a $290 retainer to secure your session and $600 to spend on images, wall art, or albums — you only purchase what you truly love. Families often create collections that are unique to them, so every final investment is different, tailored to your vision and the memories you want to preserve. On everage, families spend $2000 or more. Reach out to schedule an introductory call to discuss your session and create a plan tailored to your family.
